Biography
Katyayani is a mixture of meditative nujazz/downtempo inspired by experiences from nature and the philosophical anecdotes commonly
found in the 90´s Golden Era of hiphop. It pays homage to the vibrations that sustain the creative process at the heart of Katyayani.
Original compositions are delivered through use of electronics, vocals, electric piano and instrumental improvisation. The key figures
are vocalist/lyricist Catarina Ahlstrand-Jalonen and composer/producer Tapani Jalonen.
